Cautions
  • Stinging Nettle leaf should be used with caution if diabetes is present as it may increase blood glucose levels.
Above ground portions of the plant can lower blood pressure, and may interact with antihypertensive medications.
Due to its high level of vitamin K, Stinging Nettle leaf may interact with anticoagulant herbs and medications to increase the risk of clotting.
Use of Nettle with sedative herbs or drugs may enhance both the therapeutic and adverse effects.

Drink plenty of water while using Goldenrod.
Goldenrod can cause an allergic reaction in individuals sensitive to the Asteraceae/Compositae family (i.e. ragweed, marigolds, daisies).
Use of Goldenrod may be contraindicated in cases of edema due to certain heart or kidney conditions.
Use of Goldenrod may exacerbate hypertension due to it's sodium retention action.

Red Clover may increase the risk of bleeding when used in conjunction with anticoagulant herbs or drugs. Use with caution and avoid large doses if a blood coagulation disorder exists.
Large amounts of Red Clover may interfere with hormone replacement therapy or oral contraceptives. Due to its estrogenic effects, Red Clover should be avoided in women with hormone sensitive conditions including certain cancers, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Although small amounts of Red Clover are likely safe to use during pregnancy, its use is not recommended due to its estrogenic activity.
