To relieve Candida brew 1/2 teaspoon of dried root in 1 cup boiling hot water. Drink three to four cups throughout the day. Tea may also be used frequently as a mouthwash.

A strong decoction of the dried root is also effective used as a douche, using ¼ cup dried per pint of boiling hot water. Cool completely and strain well before using.

For stomach ache, flatulence, indigestion, nausea, motion sickness and sore throat, administer a tea made of the root, using one teaspoon per ½ cup of boiling water. Steep the tea for fifteen minutes and use as needed.

A tea of the roots can stimulate appetite and aid in digestion. Take one cup of tea thirty minutes prior to mealtimes, using ½ teaspoon of the plant per cup of hot water.
